Army organizes medical camp

JAMMU, Sept 20: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Operation Sadbhavana in collaboration with district medical authorities organized a medical camp at village Saryah, tehsil Nowshera.
During the camp, a total of 1252 patients including 478 men, 315 women and 459 children were treated for different diseases by experienced medical doctors. Special arrangements were made to ensure availability of specialists like Gynae and Obstr, Pediatrician, Physician, Medical Officers both from Army and civil.
A team of Dental surgeons provided dental cover to the populace, especially the school children. The family planning and welfare team conducted awareness on the subject.
On the occasion, two wheel chairs were presented to disabled persons namely Babli Devi, wife of RatanLal of village-Saryah and Lal Chand of village Saryah. Crutches were also gifted to three people.
A blood donation camp was also organized, in which Army jawans and civilians donated blood. Free medicines were distributed to the villagers.
