Army organizes medical camp for deaf, dumb children

Srinagar, Apr 4: Under the Sadbhavana project, a medical camp was conducted for deaf and dumb special children of Srinagar here by army.
A defence spokesman said the camp was held for Deaf and Dumb School at Rambagh here. “Earlier March 15, a team of doctors from Army and Government Medical College Srinagar checked the differently abled children to include 25 boys and 25 girls and accordingly prescribed medicines and custom made hearing aid to meet individual impairment requirement,” he said.
The defence spokesman said second phase, the specific hearing aids, as prescribed by the doctors in first phase, alongwith Group Hearing System and sportswear were distributed.  ”The camp was conducted under the aegis of Chinar Corps which would facilitate the children to overcome their physical challenges and lead a normal life,” he added.
