SRINAGAR, Aug 12: A medical camp was organized by Army in Trebani village of Karnah near Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A defence spokesman said that Army in its efforts to reach the remotest of the locations and provide medical facilities to people of Kashmir organised medical camp. “A team of doctors and specialists from Sub Division Hospital, Tangdhar and the medical officers from Army provided medical support and care to the local populace. Free medical prescription and medicines were provided to all the patients,” he said.
The spokesman said approximately 357 patients from the adjoining villages of Trebani, Chainipura, Kandi, Taad, Bhatpura, Dildar, Khorpara and Gabra availed the facilities of the medical camp.
He said that the medical camp was organised as a humanitarian initiative by Chinar Corps to commemorate the 69th Independence Day which brought the much needed medical facilities at the doorsteps of remote villages located close to the Line of Control. “The village locals responded by expressing their gratitude and desire for more frequent medical camps in the future,” the spokesman added.
