Srinagar, Nov 29: Army today organized a medical-cum-veterinary camp at Waterhal in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A defence spokesman the doctors from Primary Health Centre Khansahib and from army rendered medical and veterinary services to the locals from the remote villages during the camp.
“The camp began with a lecture on health and hygiene, which was delivered by an army doctor. Over 700 patients including men, women and children were benefited from this initiative which provided free medical checkups, advice and medicines. Besides, over 800 livestocks were also treated in the veterinary camp,” he said.
The spokesman said the people expressed their appreciation towards the Army for reaching out to people residing in far flung areas of the State.
