Army organizes painting, slogan writing competitions

JAMMU, Jan 10: As a prelude to ‘Army Day Celebrations’, the Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhadarwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) today organized slogan writing and painting competitions for school children at Dharamkot and Channi, respectively.
‘Army Day’ marks a day to salute the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect our country and people.
The slogan writing competition at Dharamkot was inaugurated by Raj Kumar Kotwal, Nambardar, Puneja. A total of 37 students participated in the competition. The response was overwhelming and the event witnessed active participation by the students. The chief guest presented prizes to the winners and remarked that such initiatives by the Army will go a long way towards spreading the message of bravery of our heroes.
The painting competition at Channi was organized by Om Prakash Kotwal, Sarpanch, Jalga. A total 38 students participated in the competition. Later, the Sarpanch presented prizes to the winners.
