Army organizes rally for Ex-Servicemen

KISHTWAR, Jan 3: Indian Army organized an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) rally in Dul, demonstrating and reaffirming its steadfast commitment and unwavering support to the welfare of veterans, veer naris and widows.
The event featured grievance redressal cells to address pay and pension issues, medical help desks offering health check-ups and free medicines, and CSD & non-CSD outlets providing daily essentials.
Additionally, E-Suvidha Kendras were set up for Aadhaar and PAN updates, and representatives from leading banks provided insights into welfare and financial schemes tailored for the Ex-Servicemen community.
This initiative underscores the Army’s enduring bond with its extended family, ensuring continued support and assistance to those who have served the nation.
The rally provided a platform to unite veterans with current military personnel, Government officials, dignitaries and the public.
The event also highlighted the challenges faced by Ex-Servicemen in transitioning to civilian life, including employment opportunities and avenues for continued contribution to nation-building.
