RAJOURI, Sept 24: A road safety seminar was conducted today at Sunderbani under the Crossed Swords Division.
The seminar was organized with the noble cause of creating awareness for the locals on essential aspects of road safety and security to prevent road accidents and consequent tragic loss to life and limbs.
The seminar was a welcome initiative on the part of the Army authorities to reach out to the locals by sending across the important message of compliance to road safety norms. The initiative was aimed at motorists, specially two wheelers and encouraging them on the use of crash helmets to prevent head injuries.
The seminar was attended by a sizeable number of young college and school students which are the most effected segment.
To drive the message across, the Crossed Swords Division distributed fifty crash helmets to the attendees. The seminar has impressed upon the locals the determination, capability and genuine desire of the Army for promoting road safety, personal well being and higher social values in society.
