Army organizes tour for Molvis, elders

Srinagar, Oct 2: Army organized an awareness-cum-motivational tour for Molvis (religious preachers) and elders of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district to Hyderabad which was flagged off today.
A defence spokesman said the tour members will visit Srinagar, Jammu, New Delhi and Hyderabad.  “The aim of the tour is to provide opportunities for interaction with people, increase awareness and exposure to the development activities taking place in other parts of the country,” he said.
During the tour, the participants will get an opportunity to visit historical and cultural places of interest like Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar , IGI Airport, India Gate and  Connaught place at Delhi, he said.
“They would visit Char Minar, Mecca Masjid, Ramoji Film City, Golconda Fort, Birla Planetarium, Hussain Sagar Lake at Hyderabad. The tour members will also get an opportunity to interact with a number of civil and Indian Army officials,” the spokesman said. He added that the tour would conclude on October 11.
