RAMBAN, May 11: Army today extended helping hand for the education of poor girls.
Nahima Akhtar and Heena Bano, had to quit this year as their poor families could not afford their education. The girls are resident of Salbala and Indh villages in Gul region of Ramban and were studying in Government Middle School, Salbala and KGVV Hostel, Gul.
Rashtriya Rifles Battalion located at Gul under Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Force has now taken up the responsibility of sponsoring school fees, books, stationery and uniform of these two girls till they complete their studies.
Commanding Officer of the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Gul, met the girls and asked them to put their best and complete their studies to become successful in life. He highlighted the importance of education in their lives.
