JAMMU, Feb 7: Arora Biradari is surprised to see news item appearing in section of print media demanding political reservation for this community by some community members who made a press conference in this regard here, yesterday and making serious allegations of non-representation of community in political arena and further threatening to boycott political parties.
In a rejoinder issued here, today Vijay Grover, general secretary of Arorbans Sabha said this is nothing but shameful act of some persons who, with ulterior motive of gaining political mileage have organized press conference which act is condemned by Arorbans Sabha.
He said that Arora Biradari or Community has brought pride to nation by their contributions like Lieutenant-General Jagjit Singh Arora before whom approximately 90,000 Pakistan Army surrendered on December 16, 1971 at the Ramma Race Course Garden in Dhaka and Space Scientist American Astronaut, Kalpana Chawla who flew on Space Shuttle Columbia in 1997 as a mission specialist and primary robotic arm operator.
Moreover, the Constitution of Arora Biradari categorically restricts its activities only on social & non-political front. Its Constitution also not only prohibits holding of any post by any political person but also debars holding of any political activities in their premises.
