BHADERWAH, Oct 14: Forest Department today retrieved around 10 kanals of encroached forest land.
As per official spokesman, continuing its drive to remove the encroachments from the forest land, the sleuths of Forest Division Bhaderwah along with Forest Protection Force (FPF) J8 Doda conducted raid and retrieved around 10 kanals of forest land at Kungla ares of District Doda.
The raid was conducted after getting several inputs about encroachment of forest land in the area, spokesman said, adding that a team of Forest Range Keller along with FPF headed by Range Officer Kellar visited the area and retrieved around 10 kanals of land.
The team after removing and destroying the fencing erected by the encroachers also destroyed maize crop raised on the encroached land.
The whole operation was held under the supervision of DFO Bhaderwah Khalid Amim Metha, Deputy Director FPF J8 Doda Mohinder Singh Deputy and Conservator of Forests Chenab Circle TB Singh.
