DODA, July 2: The sleuths of Forest Protection Force (FPF) have seized 110 kilograms of medicinal herbs-nagchatri and 25 kilograms of khour from Akramabad area.
As per sources of Forest Department, acting on a tip off, FPF sleuths intercepted a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK19-1649 at Akramabad on Doda-Jammu highway.
Two people, including the driver, escaped from the spot, they said adding, during the search of the vehicle, 110 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and 25 kilograms of another banned medicinal herb ‘khour’ was seized along with the vehicle.
A case has been registered in this regard and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
