Around one dozen people injured in accidents

JAMMU, Apr 27: Around one dozen persons received injuries in road accidents at different locations of the Kishtwar and Doda districts.
As per police sources, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK06-2153 was on its way to Drabshalla from village Tatani in district Kishtwar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into a field, thereby causing injuries to around nine persons including driver.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to nearby hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Churi Devi, Jai Devi, Shambu Nath, Ritu Devi, Nita Devi, Shivani and Piyush, all residents of Sharoti, Daya Krishan, son of Tek Ram of Kukarwas and driver of vehicle Nayeem Akhter, son of Abdul Latief of village Tatani.
Meanwhile, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK06-3714 hit a Forest Department employee namely Bihari Lal, son of Bhagat Ram of Bhagwah. The injured has been shifted to District Hospital Doda, where he was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
Cases have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
