JAMMU, May 11: Social activist, Pankaj Kohli appealed Lt Governor administration to immediately arrange vaccination for young people as Jammu division is facing huge shortage of vaccine despite tall assurances by administration. He also requested administration to take over Red Cross building for COVID -19 welfare activities.
Kohli said administration should take over Red Cross building near GMC to accommodate COVID patients as the same infrastructure is lying vacant.
He had earlier appealed Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to utilize the building of Red Cross near GMC to accommodate patients and also to take over other vacant buildings like Hotel Ashok Jammu and Kala Kendra Vikram Chowk Jammu for vaccination as these buildings are near to city hence needed to be converted into COVID dedicated hospitals for isolation and vaccination services as the new COVID hospitals may take more time to be established.
