Arrangements for Baba Aghar Jitto Mela reviewed

REASI, June 7: Arrangements for the 3-day historic Baba Aghar Jitto Mela in Reasi district commencing from June 12, were reviewed at a meeting of officers held under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Reasi Rajinder Singh Tara today.
All necessary arrangements of security, drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, clearance of debris from both sides of the road, availability of team of doctors with ambulance and required medicines round the clock during the mela days, parking of vehicles, deployment of safai karamcharies by the Municipal Committee Katra, adequate essential commodities besides various other related issues were also discussed in detail.
ADDC instructed all the concerned officers to make all necessary arrangements well before the commencement of the Mela.
Tehsildar Reasi will be the Nodal Officer of Mela who will supervise all arrangements during the Mela days.
The temple of Baba Jitto is situated 6 kms away from Katra on Reasi- Katra road at village Aghar Jitto surrounded by lush green Trikuta Hills in the district and thousands of devotees hailing from different parts of Jammu province and parts of Punjab pay obeisance at the Baba Jitto shrine throughout the year.
