JAMMU, Sept 17: Ranvijay Singh, Chairman/Trustee, Maharaja Hari Singh Social & Education Foundation (MHSSEF), Jammu today held a meeting with all the members of the Trust to discuss arrangements for the celebration of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji at Hari Niwas Palace Jammu, on September 23.
During the course of the meeting, all the members reiterated their demand for declaration of holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Singh Ji, keeping in view the aspirations of the people of J&K state.
Ranvijay Singh stated that Maharaja Sahib was a true patriot who ensured the accession of J&K with India for the betterment of the people of the State. Maharaja Hari Singh also brought many social reforms like free education for the children, banned untouchability and smoking (at pubic places), encouraged widows remarriages, allowed all casts of people to enter in the temples and above all provided justice to all.
Singh and all the members of the Trust also extended an open invitation to all the people of J&K to join them in celebrating the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji on September 23.
