JAMMU, Mar 11: In connection with the arrangements for “26th Annual Chhari Mubarak Yatra” to the historical shrines of Purmandal, a meeting of various religious and social organizations was held here today at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex Gandhi Nagar Jammu, under the chairmanship of Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and President of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust and Purmandal Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee.
Representatives of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Purmandal Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Shri Durga Mandir Management Committee Rampura, Langar Seva Samiti Bari Brahmana, Data Dev Development Committee Birpur and various other prominent citizens from the rural areas of District Samba and Jammu participated in the meeting.
After detailed discussions about the issues and suggestions put forth by the members for the conduct of holy Chhari Yatra on “Chetra Chaturdarhi” falling on 23rd of March 2020, decisions were taken for Chhari Pujan on March 22 at 5 PM as at Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Jammu and Chhari Yatra on March 23 at 7 PM.
Holy Chharies will be taken in a colourful procession to Raghunath Mandir where from after Pooja Archana, Yatra will proceed to Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar Jammu and after reaching there, besides, renowned Mahatmas and Pandits, large number of devotees will take part in the grand Pooja to be organized there. Then from Lakshmi Narayan Mandir holy maces will be taken in a profusely decorated Rath onwards Purmandal via Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Durga Mandir Rampura, Shiv Mandir Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash, Narsingh Dev Mandir Birpur and Data Ranpat Dev Mandir Birpur etc.
On reaching Purmandal Charries will be received by the members of Purmandal-Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee along with thousands of devotees. Thereafter, a special Pooja will be performed in the historic Shiva Temple there.
Langer Sewa Samiti Bari Brahmana informed that as per past practice they are going to serve Bhandara to the lakhs of devotees during the three days programme in Devika near the Main Temple Complex there.
Charak appealed to the District Administration, RTO, Traffic police and all other concerned departments to make necessary arrangements there for the smooth celebrations of the three days programme there.
