UDHAMPUR, Feb 20: For finalizing the arrangements for Nation- Wide launch of National Youth Policy-2014 and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan here today, a meeting of all district officers was conducted at Deputy Commissioner Complex under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal.
In order to create awareness about path breaking initiatives, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MOYAS) has decided to formally launch both NYP-2014 and RGKA, Nation-Wide on February 21, 2014 in 623 districts. The event shall be organized on February 21, 2014 at the same time i.e 3 pm in district Udhampur also.
The DDC directed all concerned officers to participate in the event and give full cooperation. She directed CMO, ACD, GM-DIC, Deputy Director DECC, PO DRDA to give lectures on different schemes of their respective department to make youth familiar with the different schemes.
The DDC also instructed Principal Degree College (Boys) Udhampur and Chief Education Officer to direct NCC and NSS volunteers to participate in the rally, which will commence from MH new Community Hall passing through old Town Hall, Ramnagar Chowk and finally culminate at start point.
Meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Pawan Parihar, District Information Officer, Dr. Ashwani Hansa, District Youth Coordinator Nehru Yuva Kendra, Nissar Ahemd, Chief Education officer, Balbir Singh and also senior officer of the district.
