SRINAGAR, Sept 17: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan convened a high level meeting to review the arrangements for arrival of Hajj pilgrims.
The meeting was informed that first batch of Hajj Pilgrims will arrive at 8.40 am at Srinagar International Airport on September 24.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the officers of PHE, Fire & Emergency Services, PDD and Health Department to make all necessary arrangements during the arrival days of Haj pilgrims. He also directed the Custom authorities to make sure smooth clearance at airport.
The meeting was informed that volunteers of Home guard and other concerned agencies will be available at airport to assist the pilgrims
The Divisional Commissioner also directed SRTC to provide transport facilities to the pilgrims
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar and Budgam, DIG, Police, Managing Director SRTC, Commanded CRPF, Officers of Airport authorities and other concerned officers.
