‘Arrest people behind attempt to attack Tara Chand’

JAMMU, Oct 3 : Congress has asked the police to take stern action under law against the culprits involved in the alleged incident of attempt to cause bodily harm to the former Dy Chief Minister and INC candidate from Chhamb, Tara Chand, on October 1, late evening at his residence in native village, Chak Malal near Khour.
Strongly condemning the incident JKPCC senior vice president and chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has expressed great concern over such an incident at his residence Chak Malal on the evening of voting day -1st Oct. When some persons allegedly carrying weapons, tried to enter his house and with intention to cause bodily harm to Tara Chand.
The matter was reported to the police immediately and to the Election Commission, however appropriate action is still awaited in the matter. Even the detail of the vehicle and the two persons who were identified by former DyCM and his family members, was given to SHO Khour and SDPO concerned. It is a matter of great concern, he said adding that the party demands stern action in the matter without any delay.
