JAMMU, Sept 5: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) Social has said that the Article 370 was used as a tool to snatch the rights of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
“Under the shade of Article 370, all political parties including PDP (of which Altaf Bhukhari was the Finance as well as the Education Minster) looted the OBC rights and did not implement the Apex Court’s judgement of 1992 on Mandal report in erstwhile J&K state,” said AIBCU president, Abdul Majid Malik while addressing a telephonic meeting with other office bearers.
Malik said that now J&K Apni Party befooling the OBCs by emphasizing for implementation of Mandal Commission report in J&K like the rest of the UTs in the country. He said that the first meet of Altaf Bhukhari with former LG GC Murmu did not cover the OBCs, SCs and STs in his memorandum and the memorandum which the deputation of JKAP submitted to the present LG Manoj Sinha a few days before did not mention the implementation of Mandal report.
He said that what JKAP has in its constitution must be shown to the people; verbal assurances is a treacherous method like other political parties and leaders like PM Modi who only promised and after that promises became ‘jumlaas’.
“OBCs must think hundred times before joining any party including JKAP because when you kick a party after many years and try to join the other one, it becomes your duty to see the pros and cons whether the party to which you wish to join will prove true to your testing stones,” the AIBCU president said and appealed the OBCs not get themselves befooled by joining any political party before any testing.
All executive members including Kewal Krishan Fotra (secretary), Pri Darshan Mehra, Jia Lal Verma (senior vice president), Mohd Rashid, Tripathi, Surinder Verna and Ajay Tripathi (all secretaries), Rajinder Sikka (senior vice president) and Shashi Verma (senior vice president) attended the meeting.
