Artemis Hospital organizes Pediatric Cardiology Camp at ASCOMS

JAMMU, Mar 22: Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon organized a free Pediatric Cardiology camp at ASCOMS in Jammu, which was later also followed by a free surgery program for children with heart conditions.
The program was aimed at providing free medical care and surgery for underprivileged children in need of cardiac treatment. The surgery process was backed by Artemis Health & Science Foundation.
The OPD was organized by a team of expert doctors including Dr Aseem R Srivastava, Head – Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Dr Annie Arvind, Head – Associate Consultant, Pediatric Cardiology from Artemis Hospital Gurgaon. The team screened the kids and referred, those requiring, for further treatment.
“In addition to the OPD, Artemis Health & Science Foundation will also provide free surgery for children who require cardiac treatment. The program will cover the costs of the surgery, hospitalization, medication, and follow-up care,” said Dr Aseem R Srivastava.
He said, “We believe that every child deserves access to quality medical care, regardless of their financial situation. With our free Pediatric Cardiac Care OPD and Surgery program, we hope to save the lives of children who otherwise would not have had access to this critical care.”
Dr Annie Arvind said as pediatric cardiologists their goal is to provide the best possible care for children with heart conditions, while also focusing on preventative measures to ensure a healthy heart in the future. She said with advanced technology and a multidisciplinary approach, they are able to diagnose and treat a wide range of congenital and acquired heart defects in children of all ages.
Also speaking on the occasion, Director Principal ASCOMS, Dr Pavan Malhotra lauded the role of Artemis in providing cardiac care to the patients. He added that in association with the Artemis, a programme ‘Doctor in your doorsteps’ is being envisaged.
