JAMMU, Nov 6: State IT Head BJP J&K, Ishant Gupta here today flayed the resolution introduced by NC-Congress alliance in J&K Assembly to restore Article 370.
He called this move unconstitutional and misleading. “Article 370 has gone forever and no one can bring it back,” Gupta maintained adding, “J&K has been fully integrated into Bharat now and we won’t go back to the days of two flags and two constitutions.”
The BJP leader explained that abrogation of Article 370 in 2019 brought major benefits to the region including opportunities for investment, growth and development.
“With central laws now applied to J&K, governance has become more transparent and accountable,” he continued and said that economic opportunities have increased in J&K now as companies and investors are contributing to the local economy.
Gupta also highlighted the improved security situation in J&K, which has led to a boost in tourism, benefiting local businesses and creating more jobs for young people.
