Artificial gold biscuits selling gang busted, 3 arrested

JAMMU, Feb 22: Manwal police busted artificial gold biscuits selling gang with the arrest of three persons.
As per police sources, a team from Manwal Police Post head by SI Vikram Jasrotia laid a naka and intercepted a Santro car.
During checking, police team recovered 75 gold like biscuits each weighing around 900 grams from the vehicle and arrested three persons traveling in the car.
The arrested persons were identified as Fayaz Ahmed, son of Sardar Mohammad of Bagoon, Paltha, Nud Samba, Shamim Ahmed, son of Sardar Mohammad of Bagoon, Paltha Nud Samna and Mohammad Shareef, son of Iqbal Ahmed of Sanoo, Jandrah.
During questioning it came to fore that Mohammad Shareef along with others was into the business of selling the artificial gold biscuits to the people by cheating them.
A case under FIR Number 47/2020 under Section 420 IPC has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar kotli and investigation taken up.
Police team made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma.
