JAMMU, May 26: With the objective of assisting disabled persons in overcoming their physical challenges, Lam based Rashtriya Rifles in collaboration with Delhi based NGO Kiwanis Club organized an artificial limb fitment camp.
During the camp artificial limbs were distributed to more than 35 disabled persons hailing from border district of Rajouri, Nowshera and Mendhar who had unfortunately lost their limbs due to ceasefire violations, terrorist action, mine blasts and other reasons over the years.
The camp was attended by the beneficiaries, their families and officials from Army and Civil Administration.
This great initiative undertaken by the Indian Army for disabled persons has helped them in achieving their goal of self reliance.
