JAMMU, Nov 26: Jammu based renowned artist, Jeevan Sharma has been awarded with State Award for his excellent performance in field of Performing Arts especially in Singing.
The award was handover to him a simple function, organised at Civil Secretariat, here today. The award carries Rs 51,000 cash prize along with Gold medals worth Rs 1.25 lakhs and a memento.
The award was handed over to him by Director Finance, Riyaz Ahmed.
Jeevan Sharma had also won various awards for his superb performance in this field including 1st prize winner of Inter-University Award held at Dharamshala (HP) in 1984 and Jammu and Kashmir Academy Arts, Culture and Languages Award in 1981.
