POONCH, Mar 22: Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Taramani issues notice to presidents/managers of Public Transport Union of Poonch to display the fare list inside the vehicles within seven days.
A notice under number ARTO/P/2023-24/358 reads that “All the presidents/managers of Public Transport Union (Buses/Mini Buses/TATA Magics) of District Poonch are hereby informed through the medium of this notice that all the passenger vehicles plying on the roads of district Poonch should display the fare list inside their respective vehicles with in the period of seven days, failing which, they are liable to be punished as per MV Act.”
ARTO Poonch Taramani when contacted said that complaints of over charging are being received, keeping in view, this notice has been issued and to display the fare list is already there under rules. If any vehicle will be found without fare list after given time, action under rules shall be taken, he added.
