JAMMU, June 8 : Team Arto Doda conducted an enforcement drive on Doda-Thatri-Gandoh route, resulting in the inspection of 120 vehicles. During the operation, 42 vehicles were found to be in contravention of various violations of the Motor Vehicles Act and were issued challans. Additionally, 12 vehicles were immediately compounded on the spot, leading to the realization of an amount of Rs 11,500 in fines.
The drive specifically targeted overloading and overcharging in vehicles and aimed to raise awareness among vehicle operators at Thatri, Batyas, and Gandoh, urging them to adhere to traffic rules to prevent any unfortunate incidents on the hilly roads.
The ARTO Doda enforcement drive showcased its commitment to ensuring road safety and regulating traffic on the challenging Doda-Thatri-Gandoh route.
