VIJAYPUR, Aug 18: For rejuvenating the party workers and garnering public support ahead of scheduled Assembly elections, senior BJP leader Arun Kumar Sharma today held public meetings at Khara, Birpur and Purmandal in Vijaypur Assembly constituency.
While addressing the gatherings, Arun said that the successive Governments in Jammu and Kashmir failed to pay attention towards the problems being faced by the people of Vijaypur constituency.
“While National Conference and PDP were Kashmir centric, Congress too ignored Jammu region, including Vijaypur Assembly constituency,” he said.
Arun said that the development works, which are pending from past more than 50 years, were being completed under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “People want development and get rid of NC, PDP, Congress politicians who gave them only false assurances,” he added.
Exhorting the party workers to fully gear up for ensuring victory of BJP candidates in the Assembly polls, Arun Sharma claimed that the party will form Government on its own in Jammu and Kashmir. We need to work collectively for ensuring grand victory of BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections so that a pro-people Government can be provided in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
Arun Sharma also appealed the BJP worker to make it sure that issues of the general public are taken up at the appropriate forum and get addressed in the time bound manner. He said that need of the hour is to work extra to ensure the implementation of public welfare schemes initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA Government at the Centre.
Several prominent personalities including former Panches and Sarpanches also addressed the meetings and extended full support to Arun Sharma for upcoming Assembly elections.
