Arun Gupta re-elected CCI President, Munish Secy Gen

JAMMU, Apr 23: Arun Gupta has been re-elected as President for the second consecutive term while Munish Gupta as Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu, the election for which was held here today.

The polling for the six posts of office bearers of CCI Jammu started at 10 am today and continued till 5.30 pm. Out of the total 2816 votes, 2687 were polled.
Arun Gupta was declared elected as President for the second consecutive term. He secured 1522 votes and defeated Rakesh Gupta with the margin of 374 votes. Rakesh bagged 1148 votes.
Anil Gupta was elected as senior Vice President. He bagged 1697 votes and defeated Surinder Mahajan, who secured 262 votes and Rajinder Gupta (116 vote). Rajeev Gupta (Kaka) was elected as junior vice president. He bagged 1632 votes and defeated Ashu Gupta who secured 1017 votes.
Munish Gupta was declared elected as Secretary General. He secured 1467 votes and defeated his nearest rival, Deepak Aggarwal who bagged 1013 votes while Ajay Langer got just 183 votes.
Rajesh Gupta was elected as Secretary by securing 1291 votes. His nearest rival, Raj Gupta got 847 while Mukesh Gupta polled 513 votes.
Rajesh Gupta (Rinku), was elected as Treasurer. He bagged 1747 votes and defeated Manik Gupta with the margin of 821 votes.
The elections were held under the supervision of Election President/In-charge, Shiv Partap Gupta. The other members of the Election Committee were-Manmohan Singh, Vijay Gupta, Anil Gupta and Kulbhushan Gupta.
Immediately after the election results were announced by the Election President, jubilations commenced in Arun Gupta led team. The newly elected office bearers were profusely garlanded by their supporters. The sweets were distributed on the occasion and many were found dancing on drum beats at the Chamber House. It was like festive occasion throughout the day at Chamber House.
