Arun holds massive rally at Purmandal

SAMBA, Feb 14: A rally of workers and supporters of Arun Sharma was held at Purmandal in Samba constituency here, today.
A large numbers of people, including, women and youths of block Purmandal, Nud and Samba participated in the rally under leadership of Arun Kumar Sharma for extending their full support to him.
During the rally, Janta Vikas Manch (JVM) was constituted with a Core Committee (CC) and chairmen, Sarpanch, Joginder Sharma. A Working Committee of JVM was elected with Arun Kumar Sharma, as president.
The Manch will have eight vice presidents, two general secretaries, 10 secretaries, a treasurer, a spokesman, a media incharge, several executive members and a youth president.
All the office bearers took oath to work for poor, backward, weaker and downtrodden people of the area, irrespective of party affiliation.
While addressing the rally, local Sarpanchs said that people of the area have always been given step motherly treatment by all the political parties which imposed candidates from outside and used locals for vote politics.
It is better to leave these political parties and form a Manch to highlight the problems faced by the public, they added.
BDC chairman, Arshad Begum alleged discrimination has been made by the political parties. “I was elected by a party but they didn’t care of us, never took us in confidence for any political decision. It is better to work on our own”, she added.
While addressing Arun Kumar Sharma asked the workers to go door to door and reach every individual for highlighting discrimination with backward, poor people of the area specially Purmandal a -mini Kashi. “Now we were again discriminated by BJP they never bothered to our united request for local candidate but no one from the constituency Purmandal was deemed for the same”. The party never nominated even a single member in district body nor State body. “I joined the BJP for the demands of our people and local people compelled me to contest the election. I am in politics not for gaining the power but to help the people”, he said.
Launching an attack on officials in Samba , particularly in Purmandal, he said people don’t have basic facilities like drinking water, irregular power supply, un employment, corruption.
Sharma also complimented the Core Committee members and chairman for electing him as president of Janta Vikas Manch. “I am trying myself making strong full efforts to solve, highlights, local public issues of district Samba” .
