“It is the young generation artists on whose shoulders lies the responsibility of preserving the rich Dogra heritage for the progeny. It is, therefore, our duty to keep encouraging them so that they vigorously pursue the mission with utmost enthusiasm,” he added.
The BJYM State president said it was the former Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee who facilitated the entry of Dogri language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India for which full credit goes to him and the party.
“After the abrogation of Article 370, it was the BJP Government at the Centre headed by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi that Dogri language was granted the status of official language of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is our commitment that we will leave no stone unturned in preserving Jammu’s identity i.e. Dogra culture and heritage,” Prabhat said.
The BJYM leader said the Dogra cultural heritage is the identity of the people of Jammu and it should be the collective responsibility of every people of this Dogra land to protect and preserve this identity.
