VIJAYPUR, Apr 2: Senior Congress leader and PCC member Arun Sharma has announced to quit the party in protest against alleged anti-workers approach of the high command, which, he said, was completely ignorant of the ground situation.
In a statement, Arun Sharma alleged that the present Congress leadership had completely forgotten the policies and principles of the party, which served the country for more than a decade. “It has now become a party of sycophants and corrupt people, who are in Congress for the position and money only,” he said and alleged open sale of organizational designations and mandate in Congress.
Arun Sharma, who started his political career as NSUI State general secretary in early nineties and served the Congress party for more than 25 years, is likely to join Bhartiya Janta Party even as he didn’t disclose much about his new inning.
He said that further course of action will be decided soon after consultation with his supporters in Samba district.
