JAMMU, Sept 1: Senior BJP leader and candidate from Jammu West Assembly Constituency, Arvind Gupta has said that Congress during its rule for decades has failed to address the aspirations of the people of Jammu region.
Addressing a gathering during his poll campaign in several Wards of the Jammu West Constituency, the BJP leader said that Congress always neglected the core issues of Jammu region and focused on vote-bank.
He highlighted how BJP, under the leadership of PM Modi brought historic changes in J&K, particularly after the abrogation of Article 370.
Gupta said that BJP has ushered an era of connectivity, social welfare schemes and overall development of J&K and mentioning about the initiatives like PMAY, Ayushman Bharat and road infrastructure projects.
“Congress was always soft on terrorism and separatism while BJP took a firm stand to safeguard the integrity of the nation,” he maintained urging the people of Jammu West Constituency to vote in favour of BJP to continue progress and the prosperity in the region.
Earlier, Arvind Gupta accompanied by Brijesh Gupta, District BJP vice president conducted several meetings in Wards 41, 28, 33, 26, 32 and 24.
