JAMMU, Feb 20: In a significant move towards accelerating development in Jammu West, MLA Arvind Gupta chaired a high-level meeting today with officials from the Public Works Department (PWD).
The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing development projects, addressing key infrastructure concerns, and planning future initiatives aimed at enhancing the constituency’s urban landscape.
The meeting was attended by Atul Gupta (Xen Satwari Division), Sandeep Gupta (Xen Medical Division), Satish Bhagat Xen, Kushant Daffara, Mandal President Rehari-Bakshi Nagar and Anil Angral Mandal president Talab Tillo. Various developmental projects, including road repairs, drainage system improvements and sanitation issues, were thoroughly discussed in the meeting.
MLA Arvind Gupta emphasized the need for expeditious completion of ongoing projects to minimize inconvenience to the public. He directed the concerned departments to ensure quality work and timely execution of projects, particularly in key areas facing infrastructure bottlenecks. He also underscored the importance of regular monitoring and coordination between departments to avoid unnecessary delays.
Highlighting the issues raised by local representatives, the senior BJP leader took note of concerns regarding road conditions, water supply, and sanitation in densely populated areas of Jammu West. He assured that all necessary measures will be taken to address these challenges on a priority basis. He stressed the need for sustainable urban planning to accommodate the growing needs of the constituency.
During the meeting, the officers presented updates on the status of various works, including blacktopping of roads, repair of streetlights, and desilting of drains before the monsoon season.
He asked the departments to adopt a proactive approach in resolving civic issues and work in tandem with local representatives to ensure public welfare.
Reaffirming his commitment to development, Arvind Gupta assured that he would continue to engage with stakeholders and push for infrastructural advancements to improve the standard of living for residents. He reiterated that no stone would be left unturned in making Jammu West a model constituency.
