Arvind stresses on enhancing cleanliness in Jammu West

JAMMU, Oct 15: Arvind Gupta, MLA Jammu West and senior BJP leader, today chaired a meeting of the Supervisor Union of Health and Sanitation Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). The meeting, aimed at strengthening cleanliness and sanitation efforts in the Jammu West area, was held to ensure effective measures are in place for a cleaner and healthier environment.
During the meeting, Arvind Gupta highlighted the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the West constituency. He appreciated the hard work and dedication of the sanitation staff, acknowledging their crucial role in keeping the city clean. “Sanitation workers are at the forefront of our efforts to create a cleaner Jammu. Their dedication deserves our support, and we must ensure they have everything they need to carry out their duties efficiently,” he added.
The discussions revolved around strategies to enhance waste management, ensure timely garbage collection, and promote hygiene across residential and commercial areas in Jammu West. He assured the union representatives that their concerns would also be addressed and necessary steps would be taken to boost sanitation services in the area.
Arvind Gupta also urged JMC officials to focus on regular monitoring and maintenance of sanitation facilities, emphasizing that a cleaner city requires consistent efforts and cooperation from both authorities and residents. “Our goal is to make Jammu West a model of cleanliness, setting a benchmark for other parts of the city. This can only be achieved with the coordinated efforts of JMC staff, local residents, and civic bodies,” he added.
The meeting concluded with a resolution to conduct regular review sessions with the Supervisor Union to monitor the progress of cleanliness initiatives in Jammu West. He reiterated his commitment to improving public health and enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Jammu West through dedicated sanitation efforts.
