Arya Pratinidhi Sabha constituted

JAMMU, Apr 3: Bushan Lal Arya was elected as president of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha for third consecutive term, the elections of which were held here on Tuesday.
This was stated by the Sabha in a hand out issued here today. It said the president also constituted the new team of office bearers including Arun Choudhary as senior vice president, Rakesh Choudhary as vice president, Ravi Kumar as secretary who will be assisted by Chuni Lal Arya, Balwan Singh, Opinder Krishan and Apali Gupta as deputy secretaries.
Yougesh Gupta was appointed as treasurer, Acharya Vidya Bans Shastri as Ved Prachar Adhishthata, Arun Gupta as auditor and Subash Gupta as Pustkadhyaksh. Besides Dr Ved Kumari, Dev Dutt Arya, Krishan Lal Gupta, Satyavir Gupta and Prabhushoor Arya are the other members of the team.
Later talking to media Bharat Bushan Arya said that Arya Samaj was founded by great scholar, saint, social reformer, philosopher and front runner of Indian freedom movement Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati in 1875. The foundation of Arya Samaj is based on 10 basic principles of the life which are applicable to all human beings irrespective of caste, creed, color, sex or religion, he added.
He said the primary objective of Arya Samaj as defined in 6th principle is to do good to whole world i. e to promote physical, spiritual, and social progress of all humans and also give the slogan to make whole world noble.
He said Maharishsi Dev Dayanand believed in the theory of Karma i. e to know a person by his deeds and not by his birth and women empowerment by giving them the right to education and equality. Maharsihi always fought against the social evils like child marriage, Sati Pratha, un touchablity, atrocities on women and superstitions etc.
He said presently there are over 5000 Arya Samajs , affiliated DAVs and other institutions not only in India but in 30 other countries including U K and USA.
Arya said the Arya Pratindhdi Sabha J&K wants to bring awareness among the masses about the teachings of Maharishi Dayanad Sarswati.
