JAMMU, Feb 11: Arya Samaj Kotli Colony Rehari is celebrating 200th Jayanti of its founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji today.
Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji was born in 1824 and is being remembered as a great reformer and scholar of Vedic literature.
Jagdish Gupta, president of Arya Samaj Rehari Colony informed that the day will also mark 150th foundation day of Arya Samaj as the organisation was founded in 1875 by Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji.
He said that Hawan shall be performed in this regard at 8:30 am at Arya Samaj Kotli Colony Rehari while a much bigger programme in this regard shall be organised at New Delhi at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium which shall be inaugurated by PM Modi.
“Direct telecast of the New Delhi programme can be watched at Arya Samaj Kotli Colony Rehari as arrangements for that have been put in place,” Gupta informed adding that the programme will culminate with Langar.
The organisers have invited people from different walks of life to join the celebrations.
