JAMMU, Feb 21: The World Day for Social Justice was celebrated by the Aryans College of Law, Rajpura near Chandigarh.
To highlight the importance of the day various activities including illustration of life stories of National icons, film fest, extempore etc were organized here today.
Aryans LLB & BA LLB students participated and portrayed various social issues and acts for this year theme “Empowering Inclusion: Bridging Gaps of Social Justice”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Anurag Dhiman Principal, Aryans College said that this day recognizes the need to promote social justice which refers to equal opportunities, distribution of wealth, healthcare facilities etc within a society.
The law students including Dhara, Avonpreet, Deepanshu, Jashan, Ujjwal, Yachna, Nishu, Vanshika portrayed and illustrated the life stories of Indira Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, APJ Abdul Kalam, C V Raman, B R Ambedkar, Savitribai Phule, Lady Justice, Anna Sorabji etc and inspired all.
Aryans College of Law also organized a law film fest where various movies including “Pink”, “Rustam”, “Section 375”, “Chhapaak”, “Article 375”, “Jai Bhim” etc were taken as case studies.
Dr Pritika, Dr Fatima, Jaswant, Saloni Faculty were also present during the celebration.
