RAJPURA, May 2: A seminar on ‘Empowered Woman Empowers Women’ was organised by Aryans Group of Colleges here.
The event was graced by Chandrajyoti Singh, IAS officer of Patiala as chief guest.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function in which about 40-45 best science teachers were honoured for their exceptional contributions in the field of education.
Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group spoke about accepting viewpoints of women and raising their status through education, awareness, literacy and training.
More than 70 schools from Patiala attended the event.
The chief guest said that education is the initial line of defence for women.
Renowned educationists including Veena Arora, S. Jatinder Singh, Mani Vashist, Indu Bala, Gurdeep Kaur, Suman Bagga, Parminder Kaur, Sandeep Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group; Dr. J.K Saini, Director Aryans College of Engineering; Dr. Garima Thakur, Deputy Director; Kusum Sood, Dean, Academics; Manpreet Mann, Dean Scholarship and others were also present.
