JAMMU, Sept 21: Around 87 eligible candidates from various courses including Pharma, Nursing, Paramedical, Law, Management etc were shortlisted by top healthcare companies and renowned hospitals in first ever exclusive job fest organized for healthcare sector today at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, near Chandigarh.
Around 108 job seekers from PAN India participated in one day job fest.
Health & Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, S. Chetan Singh Jouramajra was chief guest and Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman Aryans Group presided over the recruitment drive.
The chief guest while appreciating the initiative taken by team Aryans said that the group is striving hard to bridge the ever widening gap between industries and academia and is regularly counseling and guiding the students for their successful career placements.
Dr. Anshu Kataria said that there is no dearth of jobs but there is a shortage of skilled & trained youth in Indian job sectors.
He stressed on training students more in practical work to compete with the industrial requirements.
Heavy rush was witnessed at Himalaya and Dabur which offered highest salary package of Rs. 3 lakh per annum.
Top healthcare companies including Fortis Hospital Mohali, Himalaya, Alembic Pharmaceutical Limited, Macleods, Dabur, Eden Critical Care Hospital, Varsoy Healthcare, Mankind, Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited etc participated in the fest.
