Aryans Institute celebrates National Cancer Awareness Day

JAMMU, Nov 7: To raise awareness about Cancer among students and to unite everyone in the fight against Cancer, ‘National Cancer Awareness Day’ was celebrated at Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh, today.
Students of B. Sc. Nursing, GNM, ANM and from other departments participated in this event.
The theme of this year’s event was “Hope, love, and strength: our weapons against cancer”.
Kamlesh Rani, Vice Principal, Aryans Institute of Nursing addressed and motivated students to take a positive and proactive approach to fight against cancer.
A speech contest was organized on this occasion; all students wore white clothes and a lavender badge on it to mark the event.
Students spoke on various issues with various aspects of health and hygiene as prevention is the most effective approach. They stressed that early detection helps in earlier treatment and increases the chances of recovery and survival.
It is to be mentioned that National Cancer Awareness Day, observed on November 7 each year, aims to raise awareness about cancer prevention, early detection and treatment.
