Aryans organise virtual Yoga workshop

JAMMU, Nov 1: With the increasing complexities in student life, to provide them with a mind and body that is physically and mentally sound, the power Yoga workshop ‘Healing from Within’ was organized by Aryans group of Colleges, Rajpura, near Chandigarh on a virtual platform.
Power Yoga expert, Dr. Rajni Attri interacted with the faculty members and Aryans students of Management, Engineering, Law, Nursing, Pharmacy, B. Ed, Polytechnic Diploma, Education and Agriculture. The workshop saw a massive participation not only from students but faculty and staff members too.
Dr. Attri while addressing said, Yoga not only reduces stress levels but also strengthens the immune system. It brings more oxygen to the body and brain thereby making one feel more energetic and relaxed.
“Yoga lowers the level of stress hormones, creates a positive mental state to deal with negative energy and creates a good mood to remain cheerful,” she said adding that Yoga postures and meditation are effective techniques to release stress.
“It’s a safe and effective way for everyone to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. It’s even good for people with high blood pressure, aches-pains, depression, stress and other ailments,” she explained.
Dr. Attri later took yoga sessions wherein all the participants started with warm-up and stretching exercises followed Padmasan, Halaasan, Sukhasan, Naukasana, Vrikshasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasan and concluded with Shavasan.
She motivated all participants and conveyed the importance of making Yoga an integral part of daily life.
