JAMMU, Feb 2: A virtual refresher programme sponsored by All India Council of Technical Education and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda on ‘Development in Construction Engineering’ was organized by Department of Civil, Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura.
The concluding session was graced by Dr. Harish Kumar Garg, Deputy Controller, Examination Branch, MRSPTU, Bathinda.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.
Hundreds of faculty members from various engineering colleges across the nation attended the six day long programme.
Addressing faculty members Mechanical Expert, Dr. Garg highlighted that with close to 1.5 million engineers graduating in India every year, the country needs approximately 4 million civil engineers on an average, over the next decade, to deliver potential real estate space and planned infrastructure.
Dr. J.K Saini, Convener & Director, Aryans College of Engineering and various experts including Dr. Hemant Kumar Vinayak, Associate Prof. NITTTR, Chandigarh; Dr. T. Murli Krishna, RMK Engineering College, Tamil Nadu; Dr. A.B Danie Roy, Faculty, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala; Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Punjabi University Patiala; Dr. Sunil Sharma, NIT, Hamirpur and others addressed all participants on Transportation & Environmental Engineering, Surveying, Structural Engineering, Maintenance and Rehabilitation of structures etc.
