Aryans organizes seminar on “Civil Engineering-Passion or Profession”

SRINAGAR, Oct 25: To update students with latest technology and Modern Arts of civil engineering, Aryans College of Engineering, Chandigarh, today organized a seminar on “Civil Engineering – Passion or Profession” at its campus.
The renowned Civil Engineer Dr Ajay Goel, Dean, Baddi University, was the key note speaker on the occasion. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the seminar.
Dr Goel while interacting with the students said that civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that is dedicated for improving the quality of life through sustainable design and construction. Community, societal and environmental needs are met through the planning, design, construction and maintenance of public works and private facilities.
While interacting with the students he shared his experience of higher education in Japan and worked on various research works, motivated youth to impart the best of technological skills to vibrant students who aim to achieve something for the country.
It is to be mentioned that Dr Goel has the experience of more than 25 years in the field of teaching, education and industry. He is PhD in Environment Engineering from Tottori University, (Japan) and Master of Civil Engineering in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engg from Punjab University. He is working as the Dean at Baddi University. He has also worked in MMU and LPU. He has the distinction of being on the elite panel of International Consultants Team of PES Kenchiku Kankyo Sekkei Ltd, Nagoya (Japan).
Prof A P Jain, Director; Prof B S Sidhu, Registrar; Himanshu, HOD, Civil Dept; Manpreet Mann and Ashima Dhiman, Coordinator were also present.
