JAMMU, Oct 25: Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh has decided to give a big relief to the flood affected students of Jammu and Kashmir, especially to those who want to pursue their higher education but can’t do so because of loss of their documents in the recent floods.
The college has launched special helpline 1800-30000-388 for these flood affected students.
As the recent floods in J&K have devastated the whole valley and worsened the living conditions, it has also affected the higher education of the students as they have lost their documents or their results have not yet been declared by their respective Universities, due to which they are unable to take admission in higher courses.
In order to provide a comfort level to these affected students of J&K, a special permission from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar has also been taken for these students so that they can continue with their higher studies. The college has taken this initiative to support those students who don’t have documents but want to continue their higher studies.
Prof BS Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh said that under this special permission, college has decided to give admission to all those students who are unable to take admission due to delay in declaration of results, loss of documents in the flood and other related reasons. Students who have reappears in their previous examinations can also apply.
Prof Sidhu further said that students can take admissions in various courses like BTech, Leet, MBA, BBA and BCA. The affected students need to submit supporting documents for above reasons and they would be allowed to appear in the first semester examinations.
