JAMMU, May 27: Ascension- A Step towards humanity, an NGO, on the occasion of ‘Menstrual Hygiene Day’ organized two day Personal Hygiene and Menstrual Health workshop for the orphan and destitute girls on May 26 and 27 at Bal Gran, Channi Rama and Government Middle School, Channi Himmat respectively.
Dr Veena Chib (Gynecologist), Dr Sukvinder Kour (BAMS) and Ascension chairperson Anu Chowdhary educated the girls about menstrual and personal hygiene and health. Free sanitary napkins were also provided to the girls.
While talking to media persons chairperson Ascension-A step towards humanity, Anu Chowdhary said, “Our organization is working continuously for the health and betterment of women”.
