JAMMU, Apr 6: Department of Community Medicine in collaboration with Medical Education Cell of Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) celebrated World Health Day.
On the occasion, poster making competition was organized, in which first prize was won by Amara, whereas Bonita, Bhavini and Karan Veer secured second, third and fourth places respectively.
The competition was adjudged by Dr VK Gandotra, Dr AK Khajuria and Dr KK Pandita.
Meanwhile, a seminar on “Hypertension” was also organized. Dr RP Kudyar, chairman, Medical Education Cell introduced the topic, while Dr Virdhee Sharma, Lecturer from Department of Community Medicine, Dr Shakul from PG Department of Medicine, Dr Renu Hashia, Associate Prof from Department of Ophthalmology and Dr Pavan Malhotra from Department of Pharmacology were the speakers.
Later, prizes were distributed by Dr A Kumar and Dr VK Gandotra in presence of Dr RP Kudyar, heads of various departments, staff members, medical and nursing students.
