JAMMU, Dec 2: Post Graduate Department of Ophthalmology, ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra (Jammu) organized a CME program on Glaucoma in the College auditorium.
This program was held in collaboration with Glaucoma Society of India. Among the speakers were Dr Dewang Angmo, Additional Professor, AIIMS, New Delhi; Dr Parul Icchpurjani, Prof GMC, Chandigarh; Dr Shristi Raj, Prof PGI Chandigarh; Lt Col Dr Menakshi Pathania, HoD Ophthalmology, Military Hospital, Satwari, Jammu and Dr Renu Hashia Dhar, Professor & Head of Post Graduate Department of Ophthalmology, ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra. They all spoke on various aspects of Glaucoma diagnosis and management.
Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital Sidhra, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Malhotra in his address spoke about Glaucoma awareness and lauded the local organizing committee members headed by organizing secretary Dr Renu Hashia Dhar for their efforts in organizing this scientific event.
In addition to faculty and staff of ASCOMS, there were around 75 delegates from Jammu region who attended the CME program.
The guests of honor on the occasion were Dr P Sadhotra, ex-HoD Ophthalmology, GMC Jammu & ASCOMS; Dr Deepak Kapoor (Retired Deputy Director, J&K Health Services, Jammu); Dr RD Sood, Director, Dr Aggarwal Eye Institute, Jammu; Dr Dinesh Malhotra, ex Prof & HoD, Ophthalmology ASCOMS and Dr Maneesha Sethi, HoD Ophthalmology, GMC Kathua.
