ASCOMS Hospital organizes workshop on Neonatal Resuscitation

JAMMU, Oct 22: Department of Paediatrics of ASCOMS Hospital in association with Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Jammu conducted a workshop on Neonatal Resuscitation.
The aim of this workshop was to train the medical and paramedical staff who are engaged in the birth of babies some of whom may need resuscitation at the time of birth. This workshop was attended by over 30 participants from the Department of Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, nursing college tutors, medical officers and staff nurses.
Dr Ravinder K Gupta, Prof and Head of the Department of Paediatrics, was the course coordinator. He highlighted the importance of such programmes in equipping medical professionals with the necessary skills to deal with neonatal emergencies at the time of birth.
The team of instructors included Dr Vikas Mahajan (Associate Professor ASCOMS), Dr Virender Singh Bhau (Senior Paediatrician and Neonatologist, SMGS Hospital), Dr Sushil Sharma (Assistant Professor ASCOMS) and Dr Wajid Rana (Assistant Professor, ASCOMS).
The workshop was conducted under the supervision of state coordinators, Dr Sanjeev Digra and Dr Niraj Gupta.
